A horrifying scene occurred during a QMJHL game, as a coach from the St. John's Sea Dogs collapsed behind the bench.
The game was immediately stopped. Emergency medical personnel immediately began to attend to the coaching team member. The initial reports are as follows:
At 19 minutes and 6 seconds into the third period, something happened behind the bench of the Saint John Sea Dogs. We do not know what happened or who it was.
The person was evacuated from the bench on a stretcher.
The match was canceled while Cape Breton was leading 6-0.
Ouch!
This was certainly a traumatic scene for everyone present.
