Major Verdict Emerges in the 2018 WJC Investigation: One Player Will Face Double the Prison Time Due to Additional Crime
As you know, today was the day of the London police press conference related to the infamous scandal involving five players from 2018 Team Canada junior, namely Dillon Dube, Michael McLeod, Alex Formenton, Carter Hart, and Cal Foote.
Moreover, during the press conference, the chief of London police, Thai Truong, officially announced the charges facing the five players in question, adding a rather unexpected detail.
Indeed, the New Jersey Devils forward, Michael McLeod, is charged with two criminal offenses, finding himself in serious trouble. Sergeant Detective Katherine Dann explained why he is the only player charged with an additional offense, mentioning that he had encouraged his former teammates to participate in this completely horrible act.
She did not provide much further detail, other than the fact that McLeod is also accused of assisting one or more players in committing this simply unforgivable offense.
Obviously, despite the lack of information, it is quite easy to read between the lines to understand the despicable actions Michael McLeod took in this case.

Note that the next court date is scheduled for April 30, at which time the lawyers will discuss and examine the disclosure of evidence sent by the London police authorities.
