BREAKING: Max Pacioretty's NHL Future Confirmed
In the last few minutes, a significant update has been confirmed for the Washington Capitals and especially for Max Pacioretty.
The former Montreal Canadiens captain has finally been cleared to officially return to action tonight against the New Jersey Devils.
This marks the 35-year-old American's first game since January 19, 2022, nearly a year ago.
Unfortunately, Pacioretty only played five games last year with the Carolina Hurricanes, having suffered a second Achilles tendon tear within a year.
Pacioretty's health has been a major concern in recent seasons; he also played only 39 games in the 2021-2022 season.
Despite his injury history and his expected absence for the first few months of the season, the Capitals confidently offered him a $2 million contract this summer for his services.
We wish him the best of luck with his new team.
