The Montreal Canadiens have just communicated very disappointing news for their fans.

Indeed, forward Joshua Roy, who is considered the organization's top offensive prospect, sustained an injury during the game against the Edmonton Oilers. The forward is currently on his way to Montreal to undergo a detailed medical evaluation, which means he will be sidelined for an unknown period.
"The General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, announced Wednesday that forward Joshua Roy suffered an injury in Tuesday's game against the Oilers in Edmonton. Roy is en route to Montreal to undergo a thorough evaluation of his condition, and he will be out of play for an undetermined period." - Montreal Canadiens

Selected in the fifth round of the 2021 draft, the 20-year-old had been impressive since his arrival in the NHL, recording four goals and five assists (nine points) in 23 games with the Canadiens.
More details will follow.
