In the last few minutes, the Chicago Blackhawks have announced a catastrophic news regarding young sensation Connor Bedard. We now have the exact details about the duration of his absence, and it's worse than many anticipated.

The first overall pick in 2023 underwent surgery for his fractured jaw on Monday and will miss approximately 6 to 8 weeks of activity. This is undoubtedly a hard blow for Luke Richardson's team, which already has several players sidelined, such as Seth Jones, Taylor Hall, Nick Foligno, Anthony Beauvillier, Tyler Johnson, and Andreas Athanasiou.
I'm told Connor Bedard underwent surgery on Monday to repair his fractured jaw.

Bedard is expected to miss about 6 to 8 weeks, which means the Blackhawks will unfortunately need a replacement for the NHL All-Star game.

What sad news for Blackhawks fans, but also for hockey enthusiasts in general!
Although his season is not over, Connor Bedard will miss several games over the next two months. The 18-year-old center had started the year very well with an impressive haul of 15 goals and 18 assists (33 points) in 39 games.
