Juraj Slafkovsky Reveals the Player Who Taught Him How to Fight
To the surprise of many fans, a rather unusual scene unfolded during the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres last night.
In the final moments of the match, Juraj Slafkovsky decided to engage in a fight with Connor Clifton, thus dropping the gloves for the very first time since his arrival in the NHL.
It quickly became evident why the first overall pick in 2022 is not known for his fighting skills, as he clearly did not possess the prowess of an Arber Xhekaj in such circumstances.
Here is the fight in question:
After securing a win for his team with a magnificent shootout goal, the Slovak forward reflected on his fight, making an interesting statement. He mentioned that his good friend, Arber Xhekaj, had given him lessons to look good in such a situation.
However, it seems adrenaline took over as the Canadiens' forward simply didn't know what to do to beat his opponent.
« Juraj Slafkovskı stated that he had taken some lessons from Arber Xhekaj: Yes, but to be honest, as soon as the fight started, I blacked out and really didn't think about anything... » - Via Priyantha Emrith
Let's just say another learning session with Wifi would be greatly beneficial. Although he didn't appear super impressive, we're happy to see that Juraj Slakovsky doesn't shy away and is ready to challenge anyone who comes at him.
Were you happy to see the Slovak throw down the gloves against Connor Clifton?
