Captain Nick Suzuki Makes a Major Demand to Martin St. Louis
Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis made a significant change a few games ago by assembling Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky on the first line.
There's no doubt that these three forwards are currently developing excellent chemistry, as their line is the best on the ice, game after game.
Indeed, the first overall pick in 2022 is becoming more confident in his abilities and seems to be the perfect complement to allow the two CH stars to achieve offensive success.
On this subject, the captain took advantage of a recent press conference to send a very important message to his head coach, mentioning that he absolutely wants to continue playing with Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky.
« I find that we play very well all three. I hope we can stay together! » - Nick Suzuki
Honestly, we are very happy to hear him make such a statement. It seems that we have finally found a first line that can contribute to the success of the Canadiens both now and in the future.
Moreover, this is practically the first time the Slovak forward has had the opportunity to play with the CH's best players, and he is clearly taking advantage of this opportunity to show that he deserves an important role in the Montreal attack.
« He has generated a lot of things and he has played well defensively. You can see the confidence that Slaf gains every night lately and it's fun to watch. When he plays this way, it's very difficult to play against him. » - Nick Suzuki
Clearly, Nick Suzuki enjoys playing alongside number 20 and number 22. We very much hope that Martin St-Louis will keep this trio intact in the coming weeks!
