The NHL is buzzing with activity, and after Rutger McGroarty's move yesterday, another young player has been traded.

According to Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet, the Nashville Predators have traded goaltender Yaroslav Askarov to the San Jose Sharks.
The details of the return are currently unknown.
Friedman also reports that the Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils were in discussions to acquire the young netminder.
At 22 years old, Askarov, the 11th overall pick by Nashville, has posted a goals-against average of 2.39 and a save percentage of .911 with the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL. He also performed well in two games with Nashville, maintaining a 1.47 goals-against average and a 94.3% save percentage.
While Montreal's rebuild is progressing, San Jose is also doing well with a strong core, including Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, William Eklund, Quentin Musty, and Sam Dickinson. Mike Grier's team is well-positioned for the future.
More details will follow.
