A young star defenseman wants to join the Canadiens next year

The Montreal Canadiens have several promising defensive prospects, but one who stands out and is rarely discussed is Bogdan Konyushkov, who has recently overcome a serious injury.

After a challenging surgery, Konyushkov is now focusing on his rehabilitation with the goal of participating in the Canadiens' development camp in 2025.

Selected 110th overall in 2023, Konyushkov impressed scouts with his solid defense and hockey IQ. Before his injury, he was considered one of the most promising prospects.

Despite the challenges, Konyushkov has shown resilience, continuing his rehab with determination. He remains in touch with the Canadiens' scouts to monitor his progress.

His eagerness to join the upcoming development camp in 2025 reflects his ambition and desire to quickly integrate into the team. Currently the captain of his team in Russia, he is already recognized as a KHL star at just 21.
