Maxime Comtois and Joshua Roy, two Quebecois players, met during a friendly match in the NHL off-season.
Comtois, formerly with the Hurricanes, recently left the NHL to sign with Dynamo Moscow in the KHL.
Meanwhile, Roy is preparing to prove himself with the Montreal Canadiens, after playing 23 games with the team last season and scoring nine points.
Comtois shared an interesting statistic with Roy: most goals in the NHL are now scored by shooting low, a tip he gleaned from observing Auston Matthews, who scores about 45% of his goals this way.
