The worst has been confirmed for Michael Hage
In the last few hours, Hockey Canada unveiled its player selection for its summer camps, covering the U20, U18, and U17 teams.
The list includes numerous exceptional talents, but some deserving players, like Michael Hage, have been overlooked once again this year.
Despite being drafted 21st overall, Hage was passed over by players drafted later in 2024, such as Cole Beaudoin (24th pick), Tanner Howe (46th pick), and even Anthony Romani (162nd pick).
Canadian players competing in the United States, like Sacha Boisvert (drafted 18th), were also ignored, despite outstanding seasons in the USHL.
Only five players from the QMJHL were invited, including four from Quebec.
However, Michael Hage could still turn things around with a strong start to the season, potentially influencing a future invitation from Hockey Canada.
