The Canadiens have acquired forward Patrik Laine from the Columbus Blue Jackets via trade, along with a second-round pick, according to Elliotte Friedman.
Last season, the Finnish player recorded nine points, including six goals, in 18 games. Over 480 NHL games, the second overall pick in 2016 has tallied 388 points.
It is worth noting that Laine was frequently injured last season and spent several weeks in the NHL's player assistance program.
