Patrik Laine has finally arrived in Montreal in what appears, at first glance, to be a beneficial trade for the Montreal Canadiens.

The Finnish player seems genuinely excited about this new beginning. He is motivated by the prospect of playing in a major market and being coached by Martin St-Louis.

The Canadiens did their homework before bringing Laine to Montreal. Kent Hughes and the team's executives spoke with the forward before the trade.

It's also worth noting that the Montreal organization has just hired Pascal Vincent as the head coach of the AHL team.

The Quebecer knows the goal-scorer well. Vincent worked with Laine in Winnipeg and then in Columbus. With the Jets, he was tasked with revitalizing and managing Patrik Laine on a daily basis.
