Signature alert in the Canadiens organization: Two brothers to be reunited
The news is now confirmed: two brothers will officially be reunited in the Montreal Canadiens organization, Xavier and Tommy Cormier.
Xavier, 23, has just signed a contract with the Trois-Rivières Lions. In his ECHL career, he has played 113 games and collected 73 points, notably with the Florida Everblades and the Fort Wayne Komets.
The center also played five games with the Charlotte Checkers in the American Hockey League during the 2022-2023 season.
Never drafted, Xavier Cormier, who is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds, has played for the Quebec Remparts, the Shawinigan Cataractes, and the Rimouski Océanic in the QMJHL.
In his QMJHL career, Cormier scored 147 points in 203 games.
Definitely a great addition for the Lions!
Notably, his brother Tommy, two years younger, will make his professional hockey debut after scoring 79 points last season with the Victoriaville Tigres.
