Arber Xhekaj will officially be a member of the Montreal Canadiens for the next two seasons. He has secured a new contract.
The organization has just confirmed the scheduling of a surprise press conference. The defenseman will be available for media representatives today:

Xhekaj had been demoted to the American Hockey League last season but returned more complete and confident from his time with the Laval Rocket.
He finished the season well, but he will need to prove his place among the top-6 defensemen more than ever with the arrival of several promising young defensemen.
The defensive battle will be very interesting to watch during the upcoming training camp.
