Since being drafted 33rd overall two years ago, Owen Beck has seen a meteoric rise and continues to make his mark.

He has appeared in the Memorial Cup twice in two years and has competed in two World Championships, recently accumulating 81 points in 57 games.
Initially known for his defensive play, Beck has proven to excel in all aspects of the game, positioning himself as a complete center capable of handling top opposition lines, reminiscent of Phillip Danault.
His coach in Saginaw, Chris Lazary, believes strongly in Beck's ability to become a second-line center in the NHL, possibly even a third if needed, underscoring the critical importance of versatile players for team success.
Beck has also benefited from the wise counsel of Paul Byron, a former Canadiens player turned development consultant within the organization.
Byron has been a valuable source of detailed advice, encouraging Beck to focus on personal growth rather than an immediate leap to the Montreal Canadiens.
