According to David Ettedgui, a former player agent and BPM Sports columnist, the Canadiens have revived talks regarding Laine and a deal could materialize soon.

The Canadiens have yet to make a move to bolster their offensive talent. They have been linked to rumors involving Martin Necas, Trevor Zegras, and Rutger McGroarty, but nothing has materialized for Kent Hughes.
