Major Update for Arber Xhekaj: We Now Know His Fate in the Canadiens Lineup
The Montreal Canadiens have just confirmed an interesting piece of information, announcing that Arber Xhekaj is officially returning to the lineup tonight.
Martin St-Louis made a questionable decision before the last game against the St. Louis Blues, by excluding the Sheriff from the lineup, against a team that is known for playing a robust style.
As expected, the game was quite physical, and the absence of Xhekaj was felt by the Canadiens. Hopefully, the coach has learned his lesson.
He will be used on the third defensive pair, alongside Johnathan Kovacevic.
This will be an important opportunity for the 23-year-old defenseman to definitively make his mark within the defensive squad, especially since he has been overlooked several times since his recall from Laval.
It's time for him to find his bearings and play as well as he did with the Rocket.
