Major announcement for Carey Price and Angela: it's officially over
A significant news has just been confirmed regarding the former goaltender of the Canadiens, Carey Price, and his spouse Angela, as it's now over for them in the metropolis.
Indeed, the TSN network has just shared the news, indicating that the Price family has officially sold their house on the south shore of Montreal, thus breaking the only link they had left with the city.
«The house of the future Hall of Fame goaltender, and of the Montreal Canadiens, Carey Price, on the south shore of Montreal, has been sold for $1.5 million, which is about $300,000 less than the initially asked price.» - TSN
This announcement is likely to sadden many fans who hoped that the famous number 31 would be hired within the organization, a scenario that seems increasingly unlikely, unfortunately.
Having returned to Kelowna since last year, Carey Price's house had been on the market since May 2023. Although the former Canadiens goaltender demanded $1.8 million for his magnificent residence, it ultimately sold for a price around $1.5 million.
Living in this house throughout his stay with the Montreal Canadiens, it's a real page of history that has turned for Carey Price, who seems to definitively end his association with the team.
It's truly sad to see a member as influential as Carey Price say goodbye to Montreal. He has been, and will always be, one of the most appreciated players to have played with the team. Certainly, he has been one of the top goaltenders to have evolved within the Montreal organization.
Now 36 years old, the goaltender is at the top of the franchise with an impressive tally of 361 wins in 712 NHL games. During his fifteen seasons with the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge, he recorded very impressive statistics with a goals-against average of 2.51 and a save percentage of 0.917.
Do you think the Montreal Canadiens should retire Carey Price's number 31?
