Last-minute announcement for Logan Mailloux: it is confirmed
As you probably already know, Logan Mailloux was called up last night to play his first NHL game, and the Montreal organization just made an important announcement about him.
The first-round pick of the 2021 draft, who also celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday, has officially chosen his number with the Canadiens, and it's a bold choice that breaks from tradition.
Mailloux has dared to choose number 94, which is likely to stir discussion among fans of numerology.
In short, we appreciate that this is not just another number recycled dozens of times in the past. If he has a successful career with the Habs, we will long remember the association between Mailloux and #94.
We are eager to see him in action tonight for the last game of the season against the Detroit Red Wings, as well as Lane Hutson, who will be hitting the ice at the Bell Centre for the first time.
Mailloux, 21 years old, 6 feet 3 inches and 220 pounds, scored 14 goals and obtained 47 points in 70 games in the AHL this year, in his first professional season.
