"The Canadiens have agreed on the terms of a two-season entry-level contract (2024-2025 to 2025-2026) with forward Luke Tuch." - Montreal Canadiens
Here is the official statement from the Canadiens on this matter:
"Montreal Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes announced on Tuesday that the team had agreed to the terms of a two-season entry-level contract (2024-2025 to 2025-2026) with forward Luke Tuch. He has also signed a one-way contract with the Laval Rocket allowing him to finish the current season in the American League.
Aged 20, the 6'2'', 209 lb forward scored ten goals and added 20 assists in 39 games this season with Boston University Terriers in the NCAA. He then reached the Frozen Four of the NCAA National Championship, where his team was defeated by the University of Denver in the semifinal.
Last season, Tuch and the Terriers won the NCAA Hockey East division championship. However, they were defeated in the final by Boston College this year.
The Syracuse, New York native was selected in the second round (47th overall) by the Canadiens in the 2020 NHL Draft."
This is good news for the Canadiens organization, as Tuch will have the opportunity to finish his campaign within the Laval Rocket, a very plausible team for him next year.
