Despite being unsigned for the upcoming season, former Montreal Canadiens player Max Pacioretty is generating interest in the NHL.

At 35, the veteran has caught the eye of at least three teams, according to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.
These teams may offer him professional tryout contracts, which would require Pacioretty to prove himself at training camp.
After suffering two Achilles tendon tears, Pacioretty's career has slowed down, but he still demonstrated his abilities by scoring 23 points in 47 games with the Washington Capitals last season.
Speculation is also rife about a potential retirement for the left winger, who has enjoyed a distinguished 16-season career with 668 points in 902 games with the Canadiens, Capitals, Golden Knights, and Hurricanes.
