"How did you meet?
We both come from London, Ontario. [...] We knew each other a bit because we had mutual friends. He lived outside the city to play hockey, but we connected in 2016 or 2017 on Instagram and Snapchat, and we've been together since.
What are some of Nick's best qualities?
He is very caring. It's very easy to get along with him. He has many qualities. I think his overall demeanor is one of his greatest qualities. No matter what happens, if something stressful or bad happens, he knows how to handle the situation, and he does it calmly.
Is there something he does that annoys you, and if so, what is it?
Yes! [laughs] He is really messy at home. He takes off his clothes and leaves them on the floor. I find piles of clothes next to the bed. But, when I ask him, he cleans everything up.
It's no secret, Nick and Cole are close friends. You see their friendship from a different angle. What makes them get along so well?
Cole's personality really complements Nick's. Nick is very calm and laid-back, and Cole is really energetic and fun. I think their opposing personalities blend very well, and when they are together, it's like they are in their own world. They adore each other!
Most players go home during the summer, but Nick and you decided to stay in Montreal this year. What made you decide to do this?
This year, we decided to stay because I think the city in summer is very special. [...] We really love the culinary scene, the restaurants, and the concerts. We try to make the most of everything here in the summer. I think the city has so much to offer. We are very lucky to say it's our home. We really feel at home, both of us, so we are happy to be here all summer."
