Canadiens Insider Exposes Marc Bergevin's Disgusting Treatment of Canadiens Legend
On BPM Sports this morning, we learned very upsetting information about completely unacceptable behaviors of Marc Bergevin, when he was the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
There had already been information circulating to the effect that the former GM of the Canadiens did not appreciate the presence of the organization's alumni near his team's players.
However, we were far from the full story with what Gilbert Delorme has just revealed about Bergevin.
"Marc Bergevin was bothered by Mr. Béliveau passing by there (the players' entrance). We're talking about Jean Béliveau here. He told the security man, who had been there for 50 years, to tell Mr. Béliveau that he no longer wanted him to pass by here, saying it disturbed the players."
What an absolutely regrettable behavior from Bergevin towards a legend like Mr. Béliveau!
His completely stupid reasoning that his presence disturbed the Canadiens players is a real lack of respect towards him.
However, that's not all. Delorme also adds that Guy Lafleur also received the same treatment as Mr. Béliveau. Incredible!
The host on BPM Sports mentions that Bergevin never faced these legends himself, as he always sneakily went through an intermediary to pass his message.
Frankly, it's inconceivable behavior from the former leader of the club.
I don't even understand why the owner Geoff Molson did not intervene to put Bergevin in his place in this situation. Even though he was the GM of the Canadiens, he had no right to disrespect two monuments of the franchise's history.
