Bad News for Arber Xhekaj: His Spot in the Canadiens Lineup is Officially in Jeopardy

In the last few hours, excellent news was announced for the Montreal Canadiens. Indeed, Jordan Harris's injury appears to be much less serious than anticipated, as he officially returned to practice with his teammates this morning.
Furthermore, CH's number 54 was wearing a regular jersey, indicating that he was able to receive contact. This is certainly a step in the right direction for his return to play, and all signs point to him being able to rejoin Martin St-Louis's lineup this week.
"Jordan Harris practiced with his teammates, wearing a red jersey, suggesting he could receive contact. The 23-year-old defenseman also took part in the morning session (without contact, however), the day before." - Montreal Canadiens
Reinforcements that will be greatly appreciated for the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge!
Bad news announced for Arber Xhekaj
While this announcement is very positive for the Montreal team, it could have negative repercussions on young Arber Xhekaj. Indeed, if his spot in the lineup was secured in the last games, he will find himself in a battle for the sixth defenseman role again.
Fortunately, the sheriff has clearly stepped up his game recently, notably scoring a superb goal against the Washington Capitals last night. Let's hope he can continue to perform in this manner, forcing Martin St-Louis to make a tough decision for Wednesday's game.
Certainly, this will be a situation to closely monitor in the coming days!
On his part, the third-round pick in 2018 has collected six points in 31 games, with a -3 differential. As for Arber Xhekaj, the 23-year-old has accumulated five points in 24 games and has a differential of 0.
In your opinion, which player deserves the sixth defenseman spot?
