Following the trade involving Sean Monahan to the Winnipeg Jets, several Montreal Canadiens players mentioned in the media that they were genuinely disappointed to see the veteran leave the organization.
Despite the fact that his association with the Tricolore lasted less than two years, the 29-year-old forward clearly left a significant mark on his former teammates.
Indeed, just before the game against the Washington Capitals, a scene involving the first overall pick in 2022, Juraj Slafkovsky, was captured by fans, and it speaks volumes about the friendship between Sean Monahan and him.
As you know, the two forwards used to shake hands before entering the ice. Yet, even though Sean Monahan is no longer with the team, number 20 of the CH continues to perform this famous handshake, demonstrating the huge impact that the former number 91 has left.
