During the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens held a major press conference in anticipation of the match against the Edmonton Oilers tomorrow night, which will be coached without Martin St-Louis.

It was strange to see that, for the first time this season, Martin St-Louis was not the one who addressed the journalists. Of course, as you know, the head coach of the Canadiens is still not back with the team, having left on Saturday night for family reasons.
However, the assistant coach of the CH, Trevor Letowski, who is now in charge, made a very interesting statement. Indeed, he mentioned that even if Martin is not currently with the team, he is constantly in contact with his counterpart to assist him in his new duties.
Trevor Letowski indicated that despite his absence from the team for family reasons, he and Martin St-Louis are in constant contact and that MSL is still very involved in the daily life of the team." Via Priyanta Emrith

Wow! This says a lot about Martin St-Louis's dedication!
Despite the fact that he needs to be with his family due to a situation involving his son Mason, he is still very involved in what's happening with the Montreal Canadiens. Clearly, the head coach truly wants to see his team succeed in his absence and is ready to do everything to help Trevor Letowski.
Moreover, this completely unexpected departure by Martin St-Louis seems to have reinvigorated the Canadiens' players, who absolutely want to win for their head coach.
It's tough, but we know what to do! The culture is well established and we're going to win for him. We have to continue and we have to make him proud." - Cole Caufield

We love hearing such words coming from such an important player in the locker room!
Certainly, it will be very interesting to see how this translates on the ice, but expect the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge to come out fighting against Connor McDavid and company.
