In the last few hours, big news was confirmed for the Montreal Canadiens concerning Cole Caufield.

Indeed, during his end-of-season review, the sharpshooter officially announced his participation in the Senior World Championship with Team USA.
"It's confirmed: Cole Caufield will don the United States uniform at the 2024 IIHF World Championship." - Montreal Canadiens

This will be his first participation in this major event, having represented his country numerous times in the past, including at two Junior World Championships for under 20s.
In his third full season in the NHL, the 15th overall pick of the Canadiens in 2019 scored 28 goals and amassed 65 points in 82 games. These are personal highs for him so far.
After experiencing a dry spell in goal scoring during February and March, the 23-year-old forward found his groove in April, finishing the year strong with eight goals in his last ten games.
The tournament promises to be very interesting for the fans of the Tricolore with Caufield's presence in this edition.
