However, in the survey for the best goaltender, a very surprising and unexpected answer came up, as we learn that a goaltender from the Montreal Canadiens was named among the players.
To our great surprise, it was neither Samuel Montembeault nor Jake Allen, but Carey Price who was named, even though he hasn't played a match since April 2022. Wow!
This is a response that quite well demonstrates how dominant and feared number 31 of the CH was by NHL players when he was playing. He surely gave some of them nightmares with his big saves, which would explain why he is still identified in such a ranking, after nearly two years of inactivity.
