In recent hours, two new signings were announced within the Montreal Canadiens organization. Specifically, the Canadiens' ECHL affiliate, the Trois-Rivières Lions, have agreed to terms on a one-season contract with forwards Jared Power and Charles-Antoine Paiement.
26-year-old left winger Jared Power, originally from Calgary, spent the last two seasons with the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL, scoring two goals and assisting five times (seven points) in 25 games.
As for Charles-Antoine Paiement, the Quebecer played the last three years in Canadian university ranks, representing Concordia University. He had a particularly strong 2022-2023 season, scoring 10 goals and adding 8 assists (18 points) in just 17 matches.
Certainly, it will be very interesting to see how the two players perform under the direction of Ron Choules. The Trois-Rivières team currently sits at 3rd place in the North Division, just one point behind the Newfoundland Growlers who are at the top of the standings.
