MAJOR: A monster trade involving Pierre-Luc Dubois reportedly fell through at the last minute

Significant news has just emerged from Los Angeles concerning the trade deadline, relating to the situation of Pierre-Luc Dubois.
The acquisition of the Quebecois forward has turned into a disaster for the Kings, as the trade has not yielded the desired dividends for the organization.
He has accumulated a record of 14 goals and only 28 points in 62 games. He is on track to have the worst season of his career, which is saying something. It should be noted that Dubois is currently in the first year of an 8-year contract, earning him $8.5 million annually.
Dissatisfied with the situation, the Kings reportedly made a serious attempt to trade him in the last few hours, and it came very close to happening.
"Dubois was almost traded to Boston"
A huge rumor erupted following a major revelation by insider Frank Seravalli. He mentioned that goaltender Linus Ullmark had thwarted a trade sending him to Los Angeles, just before it was finalized.
Given the fact that the Kings were bargaining for PLD's services, and knowing that the management was very active in the market for acquiring a goaltender, the math is quite easy to do.
Moreover, the Bruins were working very hard to add a center player at the trade deadline, and the organization had even shown serious interest in adding Dubois last summer when he was leaving Winnipeg.
Therefore, we can deduce that the trade in question, which goaltender Ullmark refused between the two franchises, would have meant that Dubois would currently be a member of the Bruins.
Given that Jeremy Swayman is the future goaltender in Boston and Dubois would have filled a major organizational need at center, this could have been a quality trade for both teams.
Despite his current struggles, Dubois is far from being finished at 25 years old, and everyone succeeds in a Bruins uniform. The fit would have been perfect for him.
