Nothing is going well for former Montreal Canadiens players at the start of the season.

Indeed, even though Jonathan Drouin began the year on the Colorado Avalanche's first line, the Quebec forward was scratched from the lineup last night. On the other hand, Mike Hoffman, who was also playing on the first unit, was quickly moved to the third line due to his disappointing performances (one assist in nine games).
The same story goes for Jeff Petry, the head coach of the Red Wings, Derek Lalonde, officially announced that the defenseman will be watching tonight's game from the press box. This is the second time this season that the veteran has received such treatment, raising serious doubts about his future in the NHL.
So here is the Red Wings' lineup for the game against the Panthers:
Justin Holl replaces Jeff Petry on the Red Wings' blue line.

See the new lineup:

Alex DeBrincat -- Dylan Larkin -- Lucas Raymond
David Perron -- JT Compher -- Andrew Copp
Michael Rasmussen -- Joe Veleno -- Daniel Sprong
Klim Kostin -- Austin Czarnik -- Christian Fischer

Jake Walman -- Moritz Seider
Ben Chiarot -- Justin Holl
Olli Maatta -- Shayne Gostisbehere

Ouch! It's painful to see that the former number 26 of the Canadiens can't secure a spot in a defensive unit as weak as the Red Wings'!
I bet General Manager Steve Yzerman bitterly regrets acquiring him earlier this summer, especially since Jeff Petry is still under contract for the next two years.
