Linus Ullmark, goaltender for the Boston Bruins, appears to be on the move this summer after reportedly agreeing to waive his no-trade clause to join the Ottawa Senators, according to Bruins reporter Dominic Tiano.
While there are no signs of an imminent trade, Ullmark has been a subject of numerous trade rumors this season, with the Bruins focusing their future around Jeremy Swayman. They unsuccessfully attempted to trade him to the Los Angeles Kings at the trade deadline, with Ullmark invoking his trade clause to block the deal.
At 30 years old, Ullmark cannot formally sign with the Senators until July 1st, and no final agreement is in place yet, per Tiano. There might be a verbal agreement between the two teams for a sign-and-trade deal once free agency opens.
If Ullmark maintains his .915 save percentage and 2.57 goals-against average, slightly below his career averages, he could significantly bolster the Senators' chances for a playoff run.
