A prospect selected by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Draft has decided to end his hockey career.

Cole Spicer, forward, announced that he will not return to the University of Minnesota-Duluth for the upcoming NCAA season and will take an indefinite break from hockey.
He confirmed this decision to the Duluth News Tribune on Friday, citing personal reasons.
"I have personal matters to address and I need to take care of my mental health." - Cole Spicer

Spicer had recorded nine points, including five goals, in 17 games with Minnesota-Duluth last season, but he became ineligible for academic reasons.
In early July, he attended the Bruins' development camp and appeared ready to return for the 2024-2025 season with Minnesota-Duluth.
