Alex Galchenyuk has been on the move for the past few seasons, both in the NHL and in the KHL. There's also some news regarding the former Canadiens player.
Galchenyuk has been released from his contract with the renowned SKA Saint Petersburg, but a KHL team has just signed him.
The forward will continue his career with Amur Khabarovsk, a much lesser-known team in this professional circuit based in Russia.
Galchenyuk has been on the decline for the past two years after a disastrous stint with the Coyotes in Arizona. He was arrested by the police before using derogatory language towards law enforcement.
"Alex Galchenyuk, who signed a two-year contract with the KHL's SKA in August 2023, has been released from his contract. He then signed a one-year contract with Amur Khabarovsk, in the far east of Russia."
We'll see if the former Canadien can get his career back on track...
