Logan Mailloux's reprehensible behaviour: his agent makes comments
Logan Mailloux's agent lashed out at the Stanley25 podcast's statements concerning the young defenseman's reprehensible behavior that was recently disclosed.
Jean Trudel and Max Truman discussed significant information indicating that the Canadiens' first-round pick in 2021 lacked professionalism upon his arrival with the Laval Rocket.
At the beginning of the season, Mailloux missed training sessions and meetings, and his behavior caused some internal issues, according to Truman.
It must be said that things have since improved for him with the farm team; he quickly and harshly learned from his teammates and coaches that he must act like a true professional from now on, or risk burning his chances in the NHL.
Mailloux's agent angered by Stanley25's reported comments on his client, and he is furious
Truman explained that the young defenseman's agent denied the information, claiming it was all false. My colleague William Nadeau summarized what was mentioned on this subject:
"Logan Mailloux's agent wrote to me and told us that it's completely false, that we are slandering when we say his player missed training sessions and meetings.
He said we were spreading falsehoods. He probably wanted us to apologize or retract. [...]
In the last episode, we said that Logan has been exemplary for several weeks and months.
According to reliable sources, he is doing everything he can to achieve his dream of playing in the NHL." - Maxime Truman
The problem is that the situation involving Mailloux and his reprehensible behavior at the beginning of the season was confirmed by head coach Jean François Houle himself.
"While researching, I came across a press conference by JF Houle in January, who said that when Logan arrived (with the Rocket of Laval), he was late to training, late to meetings, and veterans put him in his place." - Maxime Truman
It seems that in trying to defend his client and lie to hide certain information, Mailloux's agent has publicly put his foot in his mouth.
However, it is reminded that the most important part of this story is the fact that the 20-year-old defenseman now shows an exemplary attitude and is doing everything to achieve his dream of playing in the NHL.
