Since his second recall to the major league, Joshua Roy has clearly shown that he belongs in the NHL. Indeed, the 20-year-old right winger has had excellent performances with a harvest of six points in his last ten games, establishing himself as a key forward within the second line.

However, despite his recent success with the Canadiens, Kent Hughes has still decided to make him eligible to return to the American League by the end of the season. The Laval Rocket is currently fighting for a playoff spot, and some wonder if the Quebec forward could come in reinforcement to help Jean-François Houle's men qualify for the playoffs.
Moreover, in the last few hours, the journalist dedicated to the activities of the Tricolore, Marc Antoine Godin, once again raised the possibility of seeing Joshua Roy being sent down to the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge's farm team.
"Colin White is at the Canadiens' practice with a non-contact jersey. This could be a situation to monitor in connection with Joshua Roy and Laval." - Marc-Antoine Godin

We have difficulty understanding the link between the two players, especially since Joshua Roy plays on the second line's wing and Colin White is used at the center of the fourth unit.
Does Marc Antoine Godin have information that we are missing? Could Colin White's return to play allow RHP to get an audition alongside Alex Newhook and Joel Armia?
Let's just say it would be a strange message to send to the organization's young players if Joshua Roy is indeed sent down to Laval, given that he deserves to remain with the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge.
Furthermore, Anthony Martineau also mentioned that the attacker from Saint-Georges-de-Beauce was doing overtime with Jesse Ylonen after practice, a fate usually reserved for players who will be left aside for the next game.
This will certainly be a situation to monitor over the coming days. However, one thing is certain, Joshua Roy will be in the Montreal Canadiens lineup when the 2024-2025 season kicks off.
In your opinion, does Joshua Roy deserve to stay with the major league team until the end of the campaign?
