With just under a month to go until the trade deadline, speculation and trade rumors are currently rampant.

At the Montreal Canadiens, now that Sean Monahan has already changed addresses in the last few days, things seem to have calmed down on the surface, but according to what has just been revealed by Sportsnet, Kent Hughes' work is far from finished.
In addition to advancing the name of Jake Allen as a player to watch for a trade by March 8th at the Tricolore, there is also now a new player who could very well be packing his bags in the coming weeks.

A new Canadiens player to watch for a potential trade

According to Sportsnet, Jordan Harris could seriously be on his way out of Montreal.
Due to the unexpected emergence of Jayden Struble and the upcoming arrival of Lane Hutson by April, the fate of the 23-year-old defenseman could be elsewhere in the NHL.
The Calgary Flames are seriously to be watched as a potential destination for him.
It must be said that the organization is about to make some big moves soon, with the imminent departure of Noah Hanifin and Christopher Tanev, two coveted defensemen on the market, who will become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season.
Both defensemen have already announced that they do not wish to extend their stay in Calgary, confirming that a trade is expected for them.
In the context of these departures, the arrival of an NHL-caliber defenseman like Harris makes perfect sense.

Two other Canadiens players are also under scrutiny

Sportsnet also advances the names of Tanner Pearson and David Savard as players who could leave the Canadiens by the trade deadline. While Pearson's name is not surprising, that of the Quebecer is more unexpected.
However, as the sports channel points out, Kent Hughes may not be actively shopping his services, but that doesn't mean he won't sell it.
One thing is certain, the Canadiens will be watched closely until March 8th.
