Things are not going well in Edmonton, with the team showing a dismal record of 2-8-1 after 11 games, ranking them 31st in the overall standings.

When you have two of the world's best players on your team, this is an unacceptable outcome!
The goalkeepers' underperformance is greatly harming the Oilers, who have decided to place their number one goalkeeper, Jack Campbell, on waivers to transfer him to the American League.
It was Calvin Pickard who made the reverse journey to back up the young Stuart Skinner, who is also not having a good start to the season.
Everything indicated that Pickard was a temporary solution before GM Ken Holland could make a big move to fill the goaltender position.
Well, this theory has now been confirmed by Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman. He even stated that Edmonton had contacted the Montreal Canadiens for the services of veteran Jake Allen in recent days.
The Oilers' interest in Allen is not new, as the team would have seriously tried to acquire him during the summer.
This will be a file to watch in the coming days, as Ken Holland will need to move things around urgently to try to wake up his troops.
