It seems that the future Connor McDavid is already known in the hockey world. Gavin McKenna appears to have the makings of a generational player.
The Canadiens are turning heads at the Hlinka-Gretzky tournament. McKenna started playing in the WHL at just 14 years old. Although his draft year is not until 2026, he is already projected as the first overall pick.
Some even suggest he could be the best first overall pick in decades. Analyst Simon "Snake" Boisvert goes so far as to say that he might be better than Connor McDavid.
With 97 points last season at just 15 years old, McKenna has everything needed to become a great player. He possesses speed, talent, skill, vision, tenacity, and exceptional intelligence on the ice.
