The Montreal Canadiens will once again benefit from a strong collection of draft picks for the upcoming NHL draft.

Thanks to several transactions in recent years, Kent Hughes and his team will have multiple opportunities to pick within the top 100 in the 2025 draft.
The Canadiens currently hold 9 selections in the first 4 rounds. It's often said that future NHL players are selected in the first two or three rounds.
Kent Hughes will have the necessary assets to move up if needed. This is somewhat similar to what he did with a trade last June, allowing him to move up in the first round to ultimately select Michael Hage.
Ranked 21st, Hage is considered an excellent choice by many experts. Additionally, the Canadiens currently hold two first-round picks.
One of these is from the Calgary Flames in the trade involving Sean Monahan. It's also worth noting that the Canadiens acquired another first-round pick with Monahan from the Jets.
Jeff Gorton, his colleague and friend Nick Bobrov, and Kent Hughes all place significant value on the draft. This is why the Canadiens have accumulated several draft picks since their arrival in the organization.
The 2025 draft is expected to be another exciting event for Canadiens fans.
