Sean Higgins fatally struck Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau on Thursday evening in a New Jersey area.

This tragic accident claimed the life of the NHL star and his brother Matthew, who also played at Boston College and in the American League.
Higgins was driving under the influence of alcohol. He attempted to overtake a stationary vehicle before violently hitting the two cyclists.
The drunk driver has made disturbing revelations about his condition at the time of the impact.
According to NJ.com, Higgins reportedly confessed to the police that he had consumed "five or six beers" on the night of the incident. Even more troubling, he admitted to drinking alcohol "before and during his driving."
