There's been a development regarding a potential return to play for Corey Perry, as the excellent journalist Emily Kaplan from ESPN has reported new information about the interest of teams in his services.
Here is what she recently revealed:
"Regarding Corey Perry... several teams are considering recruiting the veteran for the second half of the season.
I don't know if this will happen, but there is interest. I know of at least one team that is doing due diligence to see if there have been other incidents besides what happened in Chicago." - Emily Kaplan
The rumor is thus confirmed about a possible signing of the former Canadien. There would be teams interested in acquiring him for the second half of the season.
The Canadiens have just passed the 41-game mark, and several teams will do so in the coming days. Therefore, a signing of the 38-year-old veteran is something to watch for.
Kaplan even states that a particular team has gone further in researching Perry's background, to ensure they make the right decision before making him an offer.
