In the last few hours, sad news was announced from the Laval Rocket. Indeed, the Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate confirmed that goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a lower-body injury.

This is truly unfortunate for the 30-year-old veteran, who had just signed a one-season deal with Jean-François Houle's team.
Furthermore, this injury comes at a particularly bad time for the Laval Rocket as the team finds itself five points away from a playoff spot. With only 21 games left in the regular season, the CH hopefuls will have to double their efforts if they wish to participate in the postseason festivities.
Since joining the Montreal organization, the Finnish netminder has compiled a record of five wins and two losses, while posting a goals-against average of 3.09 and a save percentage of .914.
