There is currently a significant surplus of defensemen in the Montreal Canadiens organization, both in Montreal and Laval.

Unfortunately and strangely, injuries continue to accumulate and repeatedly strike the forwards, which greatly complicates the task of the coaches.
As we announced earlier today, two significant injuries have been confirmed with the Laval Rocket, affecting promising prospect Sean Farrell, as well as the team captain, Gabriel Bourque.
It should be noted that both players were injured during the last game against the Utica Comets.

It now appears that the news is not very good, as the Rocket has just made a call-up from their affiliate team, the Trois-Rivières Lions, for forwards Jakov Novak and Alex-Olivier Voyer.
More details will follow.
