Montreal Canadiens fans held their breath after seeing young Juraj Slafkovsky hit hard yesterday, leaving the game early to retreat to the locker room to undergo the NHL's concussion protocol.
We had received information from Luc Gélinas that he had passed the tests and that there were no bad results, but we did not yet have confirmation that the 19-year-old Slovak would be able to participate in the last two games of the year this weekend.
Now, confirmation has just been announced by the man himself, as he will participate in the team's training today and he states that he is ready to play.
This is excellent news for the Canadiens and for the young man who has been blossoming since he was moved to the club's first line with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
He was playing his best hockey since joining the National League, so it would have been a disaster to see him miss several games due to a concussion.
