Canadiens Caught Hiding an Injury From Fans? A Concerning Revelation Has Emerged and Jake Evans May Not Be Healthy
Over the past few hours, the Montreal Canadiens have made a somewhat concerning announcement. Indeed, Jake Evans did not participate in this morning's practice, instead receiving treatment from the team's medical staff.
"Forward Jake Evans will not participate in today's practice (treatment day)." - Montreal Canadiens
Although such announcements are usually a common practice in the NHL, some fans are seriously questioning the current health status of number 71.
In fact, the 27-year-old forward has missed the last two practices of the Canadiens to receive treatments, and he has not yet hit the ice since Wednesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
This is not very reassuring, especially when considering all the injuries currently affecting Martin St-Louis' lineup.
It's questionable whether Jake Evans will be able to dress for tomorrow night's game against the New York Islanders, as he might need to give his spot to the young Emil Heineman, who was recently called up from the Laval Rocket.
In any case, we will have to wait for an official update from the organization to learn more about his physical condition, but there's no doubt that a potential injury would be a significant loss for the Canadiens.
The former University of Notre Dame player has been playing excellent hockey lately, now occupying a role on the second line alongside Sean Monahan and Josh Anderson. He has notably collected one goal and five assists in his last eleven games.
This will be a situation to closely monitor until tomorrow night's game!
