The Montreal Canadiens have confirmed some very bad news regarding the young Arber Xhekaj. Although the organization initially reported it as a minor injury a few days ago, the defenseman has now been officially placed on the injured list.

"The Canadiens have recalled forward Joel Armia from the Laval Rocket. He will join the team in Los Angeles on Friday.

The team has also placed defenseman Arber Xhekaj on the injured list, retroactive to his last game." - Montreal Canadiens

The team also announced that Finnish forward Joel Armia has been recalled by the main club. The 30-year-old veteran has scored six goals and provided three assists in eight games with the Laval Rocket since the start of the season.

This is becoming rather concerning for number 72, who had hoped to return to play when the CH came back from their trip to California.
