In recent hours, the Montreal Canadiens' affiliate team, the Laval Rocket, shared a concerning update about Swedish forward Lias Andersson's health.

Formerly a first-round pick for the New York Rangers, Andersson will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to a lower body injury.
This is unfortunate news for the Canadiens' recent acquisition, especially since he had an impressive start to the season with seven goals and two assists in ten games.
"Forward Lias Andersson (lower body injury) will be out of play for a period of 6 to 8 weeks." - Rocket de Laval

Adding to the challenges for Jean-François Houle's team, forward Riley McKay is also injured and will be assessed daily.
Moreover, forwards Mitchell Stephens and Philippe Maillet had to leave the game against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last night, unable to return to play afterwards.
Despite two injury-riddled years, it seems the Canadiens' organization is facing similar challenges this season, with many players already injured.
Rookies like Joshua Roy, Sean Farrell, and Logan Mailloux will need to step up their game if the Laval Rocket hopes to make the playoffs.
