Cayden Lindstrom is a top prospect and a player supposedly targeted by the Canadiens for the upcoming draft. However, his health status could raise concerns for some teams.
Why? The imposing forward has only played 36 games this season due to various injuries. He underwent wrist surgery and missed the under-18 championship due to intense back pain.
However, his agent is clear. Cayden Lindstrom is doing well, and he wants to send a medical report of his client to all 32 NHL teams.
"Cayden is doing well. He trains without restriction and intensely five days a week in the gym and also adds five ice sessions. In the case of his back, surgery will not be necessary. We have opted for physiotherapy treatments and similar methods, and he has been going full steam ahead for a few days now. There are no concerns about his health status."
The WHL forward is ranked 3rd among the top North American prospects by the NHL scouting bureau. Many fans and experts see him sliding to the 5th pick to become the property of the Montreal Canadiens.
At 17 years old, he stands at 6 feet 4 inches and weighs 216 pounds, in addition to having a strong skating ability. Some question his decision-making with the puck, but he has all the attributes to become an impact player in the NHL.
